Mr. Carlyle Woodard, Woodard Drugstore

The most common memory from any long time resident PALPOD guest has been Woodard Drugstore. Everyone who lives in or grew up in Princeton knows, and remembers fondly, something about Woodard Drugstore. Truly, if you have never even been to get a scoop of ice cream, are you really even a true Princetonian? Your librarians thought you would like to hear from a Woodard himself about the history of this iconic downtown establishment.

We also ask about downtown throughout the years, we talked of businesses have long gone and how some existing businesses have moved or changed. Mr. Carlyle and his pharmaceutical relatives were interviewed years ago by the Tarheel Traveler.
