The Reading Life of Willow
If you visit Princeton Public library when Librarian Amiee is on the clock you will most likely find her daughter Willow, somewhere in the library comfortable and cozy, with her nose in a book. Willow doesn’t just like to read, she is a confirmed bibliophile. This girl loves to read!

It was our unanimous decision to invite Willow as our very first young-reader guest to be interviewed for a “Reading Life” episode on Small Town Stories. She graciously said yes. Aimee opted to lay low during the interview and allow Librarians Landon and Hilda to write and ask the questions, thinking it would be more fun for Willow to be interviewed by someone other than mom.
During the interview, Willow articulately narrated books she has read and enjoyed. She made the stories and characters come alive in our minds. We talked about books read at school and at home. Our conversation flowed from books, book clubs, book genres, book illustrations, to movies, to writing, and back to books. It was a delight to talk with Willow, this is our most fun bookish episode to date! Because of Willow’s age, the books and topics are probably of most interest to other upper elementary readers and their parents. We hope our Princeton family enjoys this episode, and we would love to interview more young readers.
