Farewell to Princeton Pastor, Dwayne Batten
Princeton Baptist Church has been an active part of the Princeton Community since the 1800’s and is still a fundamental place of worship and service in our small town. For the past two decades, Dwayne Batten has been part of the pastoral staff, the last several years he has served as the lead Pastor. Dwyane has now retired and relocated to the North Carolina Coast, but Princeton will always be ‘home’ and we expect many visits!
In this interview, Librarians Hilda and Aimee talk to Dwayne about his life and journey before Princeton Baptist Church, how he became a pastor, married Debbie, and how they surprisingly ended up in our small town. We also talked about the ways the church family has reached out to the Princeton Community throughout the years, and the joy of serving. We speak of the hope for a blessed and bright future for Princeton, and what retirement might look like for Pastor Dwayne.
This interview was very enjoyable and Dwayne spoke from his heart. We hope you are blessed by the words and love shared.
We thought it fitting to share a wedding photo, church photo, and seaside photo. Listen to the interview if you want to know why?!?!

We would like to interview all of our downtown Princeton pastors, we just needed to catch Dwayne before he left for the beach!!
