Small Town Teacher, Rhonda McIntosh

Princeton is Small Town School Proud, with good reason. Visitors and new residents may not be in the know, and your small town librarians are here to share the WHY behind that Princeton School Pride. We have interviewed one Princeton Principal, Librarian, Elementary Teacher, and in this interview we spoke with a Princeton High School Teacher. There are many more school staff and even parents and students we hope to interview in the future. We want the Princeton Community to get to know the persons responsible for making our schools good schools, and something to be proud of.

Rhonda’s Grandmother Emma Game and parents Ruby Game McIntosh and George. In Princeton near Holt’s Pond.

Rhonda McIntosh has a deep family history in Princeton, she shared highlights of her family history as long time residents. Oddly enough, she is the only one in her family who did not attend Princeton Schools. She has made up for that in her years of service as a Princeton School Teacher and now has more years in Princeton School than her family members!

Veteran's Day Memory mentioned in the Podcast
Princeton Veteran’s Day Parade around 2003, the photo Rhonda mentions in the interview.

Our conversation touched on the history of Princeton, the history of Princeton Schools, the local Scouts programs, Rhonda’s role in teaching, connecting and serving the youth in our community, Princeton School Clubs and classes, and much more. As always we discussed books and reading, and even a t.v. show.

We also mention the upcoming Veteran’s Day celebration that will be happening at the Veteran’s Memorial and the Community Building on Saturday, November 16th beginning at 10:00 am. Make sure you are following the Library’s Facebook Page, or visiting the Library to be informed on Princeton’s events, occasions, celebrations, local services, and much more. Your library is the hub of information for the Princeton Community! If your family would like to know about the Scouts, or other programs and activities within the Princeton and surrounding community, come to the library we have information on our Community Bulletin Board.

Apologies for the sound in this interview, another operator error possibly? We are thinking the laptop mic did the recording instead of the external microphone which left Aimee’s voice almost silent, Hilda’s too loud, and Rhonda’s fading. We tried to amplify the low voices in editing but as we are not experts and only small town librarians learning as we go, it might sound a bit wonky but hopefully you are able to hear the conversation because it is certainly a good one!
